Prius Bests Volt, Cruze Eco, Leaf and Fusion Hybrid in Total Buy and Drive Costs

When you take into consideration mileage, emissions, range, resale value and total ownership
costs, the current Toyota Prius costs less to buy and drive than the Chevrolet
Volt and Cruze Eco, the Nissan Leaf and the Ford Fusion hybrid, according to
the Los Angeles Times.  For example, the Times says that after
adding the cost of maintenance, fuel and a home-charging station to the
purchase price, a Volt will cost about $5,000 more than the current Prius
hybrid before sales taxes and registration fees, while a Leaf will run about
$3,500 more than a Prius before taxes and registration fees.
