2011 Highlander Gets Major Revisions

Style? Check. Versatility? Check. Comfort? Check. Whether you’re out for a quick trip to the store or taking a weekend getaway, the stylish new 2011 Highlander gives you a sophisticated option for the everyday.

Designed primarily at Calty Design Research in Newport Beach, California, major updates for 2011 include:

Upping your cool factor. Styling changes, including a sleek new grille and fenders, let you make a statement all around town.

Added comfort and versatility. The manual rear climate control keeps everyone in the back happy, while the standard 50/50 split third-row seat lets you switch from a carload of passengers to plenty of cargo capability in seconds.

More power. The 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine, available only in the Highlander Base grade model for 2010, is now also offered in the popular SE (2WD only), while the Highlander Hybrid’s advanced 3.5-liter V6 engine adds some punch without sacrificing mpg.

Standard connectivity. New Tech Audio is now standard for SE and Limited models and optional for Base grade, and features a USB port, integrated XM® Radio1 (includes 90-day trial subscription) and Bluetooth®.2
